While trying to consider names for a new place to get your hair done, I am wondering if having the word Salon added to the name will scare men off? I don't want this minor detail to cause me to lose business. Some people have told me they think it will be fine and some don't think it would be a good idea. I thought I would ask you, the Larryville community. What do you think? Salon or Not? |

As a man, I'm less likely to go into a place with the name "salon". Let me rephrase - if I'm looking for a new place and it has that term, I might look at what's a little further away. If it's the only place close and everything is further away, I'd go in for a haircut. If there were two side-by-side, and one had "salon" and one implied a barber or just regular haircuts, I'd pick the other. |
