in this forum you may post items to sell, give away, need, or otherwise swap. if you have a car to sell, put it in the vehicle forum. a house goes in the housing forum. jobs, wanted or available go in the job market. business opportunities are for the business forum. if you do not follow these guidelines your posts will be removed and you may receive a warning for it. do us all a favor and keep the forums clean. thank you.

are we there yet? 'cause i need to sleep.

I have a few new users want to know how to post pictures. It really is pretty simple.
You just need to find a place to "house" the pictures on the internet.

***Please note the "*" attached to the IMG items are not in your posts, they are just added to show an example below"

To post your personal pictures:

1. Sign up for favorite free photo uploading sight (photobucket, flicker, picasa, etc..)
2. Upload your photos (or google for website images) and then keep website open
3. Open new browser window and go to larryville
4. Make new post and click IMG button (next to last button on the upper toolbar)
---> something like this should appear [*img][*/img]
5. Go to your ORIGINAL browser window and RIGHT click on your photo and select "Copy Image Location"
6. Return to your post and put your cursor between the two brackets and paste "[*img]PASTEHERE[*/img]" <---most likely ends in .jpg
7. Finish your post and preview

Link to a Jayhawk picture is at

Your post will look like this (minus the *'s)

Final post looks like this Image

Good Luck

11. Posting the same item in more than one forum is not allowed. Bumping or otherwise needlessly moving up your post more often than 24 hours is not allowed.

Due to the increasing amount of crankiness being displayed on the swapmeet, I would like to clarify the rules.

1. There is no limit on the amount of threads one can post to the swapmeet. However, please refrain from posting several threads listing one item only. Please be kind to other Larryvillers and consolidate as many things into one thread as possible, particularly like items or items in the same general category (for example, children's clothing, shoes and toys can all be listed in one thread).

2. Please refrain from personal attacks or accusations on other swapmeet members. If you are not interested in buying or selling what is posted, then please refrain from making negative remarks on the seller's or buyer's thread. If you have a personal issue with another member, keep it personal and off the forum.

3. Please refrain from using multiple usernames to post more threads in the swapmeet. This has always been a violation of Larryville rules. If you would like to change usernames, please contact the moderators or admin and we will assist you in doing so.

4. Please be sure to post your items in the correct forum. Pet related items belong in the pet forum. Garage sales, estate sales, yard sales, etc. belong in the garage sale forum. Anything business related belongs in the small business forum. This includes Avon, MaryKay, Passion parties, etc. Vehicle related items belong in the vehicle forum. This will now include vehicle parts, tires, campers, boats and horse and buggies. If you want someone to do something for you (lawn mowing, house help, etc), it belongs in the job forum.

If you have a question, want a recommendation or need some advise, please post it in Dear L@rryville. If you want donations or have charity related items, please post the request in the Neighbors Helping Neighbors forum.

If you have questions, please contact the moderators or the admin for assistance. We would like this to be a pleasant and smooth running swapmeet and it requires everyone's cooperation.

Thank you for your cooperation!
