Never Fail Pie Crust
3 Cups Flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 Cup Crisco
1 Egg
5 Tblsp water
1 tsp vinegar
Mix flour, salt and shortening. Mix together remaining
ingredients in another bowl.Combine to flour mixture.
Roll out into 2 double crusts or 4 single crusts.

This sounds very much like a the pie dough recipe my mother uses. She subsitutes lard, yes pure lard, for the vegetable shortening. Unbelievable flaky, melt in your mouth crust is the result.
