You mean the biscuit type things they serve before the meal?
This is the closest recipe I have found.

5 cups all-purpose baking or buttermilk biscuit mix (I use Bisquick)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (14 1/2 oz) Seasoned chicken broth with roasted garlic (Swanson's makes this, I think)

Mix baking mix, cheese and broth to form a soft dough. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets and bake according to biscuit mix package directions. Makes 24.

Once removed from the oven, sprinkle garlic salt very lightly over the tops.

oNow, this is not for the faint of heart, and before you turn up your nose at the dates, try them this way and you will become date-lovers!

Split dates lengthwise on one side. Stuff with cream cheese (plain or season as you like) Wrap in1/2 slice thin bacon, secure with toothpick. Soak in soy sauce for 30 minutes. Broil on baking sheet for about 6 -7 minutes or until bacon is a little crisp. I have even put an almond in the middle of the date before stuffing. The sweet and salty taste is scrumptious!

I've never liked dates because they were too sweet for my taste but this sounds like a good way to try them again.
