I really like the vets at Eudora Animal Hospital. Depending on which side of Lawrence you live on, they are not far away, have reasonable rates and care about your animals. They are more on schedule than some of the other vets I have been to. They also don't want to do this, that or the other just to increase your bill, I've had that experience and it's not fun.

Just my opinion!

I have been going to Lewis on 6th for quite awhile and have been very pleased. The rates are great and he is an older man that really cares for our four legged loved ones.

I second the Eudora Vet, great bunch of people there.
We've been using them for years, even when we lived in Lawrence. Its worth the drive.

Baldwin Junction Vet - David Nottingham 594-3124 is MUCH cheaper than most places! He doesn't charge office calls for vaccinations, just the cost of the shot, little savings there never hurts. I think he charges like $4.00 / dog for docking tails and dew claws. We love him...he is great to all of our horses, dogs, cats, and cattle!!!

Eudora Animal Hospital!

I worked there for two years. They honestly do care, its not for show! Not only is it a friendly place, but like the others have said, they have some of the lowest rates you will find! If you call to make an appointment, they can usually get you in amazingly quick.

I second the opinion on the Baldwin Junction Vet Clinic. Been going there for a while, and it's well worth the drive on the savings of money.

I DO NOT recommend Dr. Lewis. He might be cheap, but he has killed two of my pets while putting them to sleep for a spay/neuter. He "accidentally" gave them too much anesthesia. The first time it happened I was very very upset, but truly thought it was an accident, Second time I almost sued. Will never set foot in there again. I think he's too old to be doing what he's doing now.

Just my voiced opinion.
