When ever I try to bootup my Gateway Windows XP-Home PC it seams to do just fine until it reaches the Windows Login screen ... At that point it locks up and the monitor have what I could best describe as static (lots of small lines running across the screen and the whole picture is shacking back and forth) ... It will not respond to any keyboard strokes and the mouse will not move on the screen. BUT ... If I boot it up into the Windows XP Home Safe Mode (with network) everything seams to work just fine (but I have only limited screen colors) ... even in this mode it will still acess the network and seams to do everything I have asked it to do ... I did a Restore to a date and time before the problem started ... Windows said the restore was successful but still when I bootup normally I have the unstable screen and my PC locks up at the Windows Login screen. Any Suggestions or Advice? |
