I'll second the D-Link recommendation.
I've tried to work with Linksys at other peoples places trying to get it setup and the stuff just never cooperates. Belkin is garbage for the most part, sometimes you can get good stuff. Netgear isn't a bad alternative, but D-Link leads consumer reviews most years and generally performs the best.
Don't waste your money on an expensive router, most internet connections your bottleneck is on the incoming line, if your router can transfer at 108 mb/sec or 5 mb/sec you probably already capped out your internet connection. However if you'll be transfering data over the router higher speed is nice, ie I transmit data between my laptop and desktop over my router quite often so the speed is nice.
Hope that helps.
